Commercial Property

This is, of course, an enormous category. Quite simply, very high quality investments with a Blue Chip tenant still sell and command good values because they represent safety and long term security more than, say, cash or equities. These are only for the fortunate few, however, and anyone buying a commercial property for their own occupation has the best opportunity for decades to drive an extremely hard bargain, particularly if they are well funded.

Speculative commercial property construction has now virtually ground to a halt. Certainly, in the smaller sized units within the industrial sector and in the area of city centre offices this is also almost non-existent. Although there are plenty of schemes being worked-up, the big question is whether they will commence? The andwer is that most will not with very few exceptions.
